This Privacy Policy explains how Cedar & Sparrow ("the Studio") collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when you visit cedarsparrow.co (the "Site") or get in touch. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information the Studio collects
Information you provide. When you submit the free-audit form, the contact form, or any other form on the Site, the Studio collects the details you choose to provide: typically your name, email address, website URL, the services you're interested in, and any message you send.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Studio may collect standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring pages, and how you interact with the Site. This is gathered in aggregate by the cookieless analytics described below.
How the Studio uses your information
- To respond to your enquiry, send your free audit, and provide the services you request;
- To communicate with you about your project or the Studio's services;
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and understand how it's used;
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse.
The Studio does not sell your personal information and will not send you marketing emails you didn't ask for.
Cookies and analytics
The Site sets no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and visits without cookies and without following you between websites. It records the page you viewed, the page that referred you, and general details such as your browser, device, and country. It does not build a profile of you.
Because nothing here tracks you, there is no consent banner to dismiss. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the Site secure and available; these cannot be switched off without affecting how the Site works, and you can still block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Third-party services
The Studio relies on a small number of third parties to run the Site, and your information may pass through them solely so they can perform their function:
- Cloudflare: hosts the Site and provides the analytics described above.
- Web3Forms: delivers what you submit through the audit and contact forms to the Studio's inbox.
- Google Workspace: carries email to and from hello@cedarsparrow.co.
Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
The typefaces the Site is set in are served from the Site's own domain rather than from a font service, so displaying a page sends your IP address to no one but the host.
How information is shared
Personal information is shared only with the service providers described above, when required by law, or to protect the Studio's legal rights. It is never sold or rented to third parties.
Data retention
Information you provide is kept for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and provide the Studio's services, and as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to request a copy of the data held about you. Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA), among others, have specific rights. To exercise any of these, email hello@cedarsparrow.co and the Studio will respond promptly.
Security
The Studio takes reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and adults. The Studio does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, get in touch and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When it is, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
